The Tire Recycle Urban Athlete of the Week is Keyara Lea of the Kelvin Clippers hockey team.

This 5’3” forward scored 6 goals and 10 assists in 8 games, throughout November. She leads the WWHSHL A Division in points as of December 4th, with 11 goals and 18 assists in only 11 games.  Coach Sam Tougas states, “Keyara not only has amazing talents but every shift she does everything she can to help the team. She's a competitor who loves the sport of hockey. Can't ask for much more as a coach. Always positive on the bench and helps the team laugh with witty comments and her light-hearted nature. Her talents on the ice are obvious with great hands and great vision of the ice”. 

In grade 10, she maintains a 78% academic average.
