The Tire Recycle Rural Athlete of the Week is Natalie Gundrum of the Prairie Mountain Predators track & field team in Somerset.

This 5’5” jumper won 3 medals at MILK Provincial Track & Field Championships. Gold in the JV Girls High Jump – 1.56 m, and Silver medals in both long jump – 4.94 m & triple Jump – 10.36 m. She also anchored the 4 x 100 m relay team to a 5th place finish helping her team win the "A" banner for team points. Coach Marvin Gundrum states, “Natalie has great leaping ability and responds well to coaching. She is very knowledgeable of the skills she needs to excel.”

In grade 10, she maintains an 86% academic average, while also participating in volleyball, basketball, badminton, curling and fastpitch.
