Twelve high school hockey teams from across Manitoba will be vying for bragging rights, as the Milk Provincial High school hockey championships begin this weekend. Participating teams in the “AAAA” Championship include, Morden Thunder, Dauphin Clippers, Vincent Massey (Wpg) Trojans, Selkirk Royals and St. Paul’s Crusaders. Host team is the Oak Park Raiders.
Action for all games, will take place at the St. James Civic Center beginning this Friday, March 11th. Semi final action takes place on Saturday afternoon March 12th with games at 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., while the Championship Final gets underway on Monday March 14th, at 7.30 p.m. at the St. James Civic Center.
The Provincial “AA” Championships will be taking place in Minnedosa beginning on Thursday, March 11th. Participating teams include the Deloraine Colts, Major Pratt Trojans (Russell), Prairie Mountain Mustangs (Somerset, Swan Lake, Notre Dame, St. Claude), Minnedosa Chancellors, Killarney Raiders and the Morris Mavericks.
All games will be played at the Minnedosa Arena. Semi Finals take place on Friday afternoon at 5:30 and 8:00 p.m., and the Bronze Medal game will be played at 11:00 am and the Championship final will go at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday March 12th.
Defending “AAAA” Champions are the Oak Park Raiders, while the Morris Mavericks are the “AA” defending Champions.
