The 2017 MILK Provincial High School Track & Field Championships have arrived. The championships will be held this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 8, 9 & 10, in Winnipeg at the University of Manitoba Stadium.
Approximately 1,300 high school athletes, representing over 120 Schools will be competing in 70 different events.
We are thrilled to have The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba as a longtime partner of the MHSAA and this year marks their tenth year as title sponsor of the High School Track & Field Provincial Championships.
This year a new event, the Pentathlon is being introduced. Athletes will compete in the 100m, 800m, Long Jump, High Jump, and Shot Put.
As part of the MHSAA’s “Inclusion Initiative”, events in 100m, 200m and shot put are being held for students with intellectual disabilities so they to have the thrill of being able to represent their respective high schools.
