Manitoba's Credit Unions Scholar Athlete

Mallory Wray of Cartwright School, participates in golf, volleyball, hockey, track & field, and was captain of the golf, volleyball and hockey teams.  She maintains a 95% average and is Valedictorian for her graduating class.  She is President of Student Council, President of the Grad Committee and is involved with music and piano.  She delivers “meals on wheels”, is involved with Sunday School and other community activities.  

Mallory states, “As a student/athlete, I have definitely had to become more organized to maintain a high academic standing and remain successful in athletics.  I have become more determined, self-disciplined, confident and athletically skilled.  I have realized the importance of sportsmanship while continuing to respect all coaches, officials and especially the opponents…..I have discovered that athletics aren’t only fun and games, but are learning experiences that strengthen some areas that are not always focused on in the classroom.
