Manitoba's Credit Unions Scholar Athlete

Meagan Paradine of Major Pratt School in Russell is a 17 year old student who maintains a 93% average.  She was captain of the varsity volleyball, basketball fastball teams and also played badminton.  Meagan was selected the Most Valuable Player of the “AAA” Volleyball Provincial Championships and fastball championships, which her teams won.  Paradine was a member of the graduating all-star team and a member of the all-star team for the basketball provincials.  She was also selected the “AA” basketball Player of the Year.  She is a member of Student Council and heads the organizing committee for the program and entertainment of graduation night. 

Meagan states, “The feeling that I get when our team wins the big game is amazing, but the feeling skyrockets if the entire student body is behind us cheering us on wanting us to do our best…..Representing the school is a great feeling and to know that I have helped put our school on the map gives me a great feeling of pride.”
