Taryn Dickson of Morris School is captain of her soccer, volleyball and basketball teams, skip of the curling team and participates in track.  She maintains a 97% average and was selected to participate in the graduating all-star volleyball game and was selected as the Players’ Choice Award at the provincial championships.  She also plays on the Provincial volleyball team.  Taryn is a member of Student Council, Grad Committee, Grade 12 Welcome Back Committee, Reach for the Top Team and Drama Club member among others.  She also coaches the grade 9 and 10 girls’ volleyball team and is an organizer of the 30-hour famine.

Taryn states, “…Being involved in many different sports and activities has helped me to appreciate the fun, fairness and participation and sense of peace and well-being you get by trying your best.  This may lead to an awesome feeling of well-earned accomplishment, or disappointment of losing, which sometimes teaches me more and forces improvement.  I believe if you always try your best at everything you do, you won’t have any regrets and may surprise yourself with how far you can go.”
