Jordan Keith Warner of Goose Lake High School in Roblin, Manitoba participates in cross country running, curling, volleyball, basketball, badminton and track.  Jordan maintains a 94% average while being on the school honor role.  He was the starting setter for his number 4 ranked AA boys volleyball team and was a member of the zone 8 boys basketball championships.  Jordan participates as a member of student council, played the role of Eugene in the musical "Grease", and coaches a grade 8 after school boy's volleyball team.  He also plays midget A hockey, midget baseball, involved with the youth group Christmas production and umpires baseball and softball.  Jordan states "… high school sports challenges students to assume new roles, take risks, become leaders and learn to play within a team.  School sports also forces athletes to work harder in their academics … school athletics have given me the skills and confidence to not just play sports but to also coach them.  I made a choice last summer of not going back to play AAA Hockey this season so that I can stay in town and play volleyball, basketball and hockey with my friends.  I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed played sports more than I have this past year."
