Sheena Dalene Grobb is an 18-year-old student at Treherne Collegiate.  This past year she participated in volleyball, basketball and badminton, excelling in basketball where she was selected all-star at the provincials as well as a graduating all-star.  She was also selected as a MHSAA Athlete of the Week.  Sheena maintains a 95% average and has received a U of M Leadership of Tomorrow Scholarship.  She is student council president, a member of the school newspaper, a member of the school choir, band and courtet, as well as a member of the grad decorating committee.  Sheena also is a member of the United Church choir and is a Sunday School substitute teacher.  She captured the Vocal Rows Bowl at the Tiger Hills Music and Drama festival.  Sheena states "… competing individually in a sport can give you confidence, character building experience and the opportunity to perform to your highest potential in the hopes of seeing how far it will take you.  Competing on a team shows you the importance of teamwork and cooperation.  It can give you a sense of belonging and the feeling that your contribution is of genuine worth to others.  You learn the value of sportsmanship and how to make new and lasting friendships…I am left with the memories and unforgettable experiences,. lifelong friends and irreplaceable skills and knowledge that will stay with me long after high school.  No matter where I go, being involved in high school athletics has encouraged me to stays actively in sport in any way I can."
