Chris Regehr is a 17-year-old student from Mennonite Collegiate Institute in Gretna.  Chris participates in soccer, volleyball, hockey and badminton.  He was a finalist for the Ed Belfour Outstanding High School Hockey Player Award, and the Zone IV Hockey League Most Valuable Player and leading scorer.  He was also a finalist for the Dennis Nord Outstanding Volleyball Player Award, and was captain of his provincial "AA" finalist volleyball team.  Chris also placed the top 6 in the provincial high school badminton championships.  He maintains a 96% average and is also student council secretary.  He also participates in the international music festival with the vocal jazz ensemble, chamber choir and concert choir.  He was awarded a Canada Millennium Scholarship Award.  Chris states, "High school sports enables an athlete to create lasting friendships, through tough practices, championships victories, and devastating losses I know I have forged friendships with my teammates that will continue well after graduation".
