Manitoba's Credit Unions Scholar Athlete

Kent Borkowksy of Teulon Collegiate participates in cross country running, soccer, volleyball, basketball, badminton, track & field and baseball.  The President of Teulon Collegiate student council, maintains a 92% average and is also captain of the varsity volleyball team.  Kent placed 7th at the Provincial High School Badminton Championship.  He is a member of the Grad Committee, Reach for the Top Trivia Team, lead trumpet of the Teulon Collegiate Senior Band and was a school representative at the Canadian Student Leadership Conference.  Kent has stated, "…..leadership has proven to be the most beneficial part of my participation as captain of the varsity volleyball and co-captain of the soccer team, I have developed several leadership skills which have greatly helped in my roles as student council President, youth group Co-President and student coach.  My success in sport and in the classroom does not come overnight.  Adequate time for training, other school and community involvement, and studying must be accounted for.  Thus time management has been another vital lesson that I have learned."
