Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Savannah Guttman of the Dauphin Regional Clippers Volleyball team is this week’s Tri-Star Rural High School athlete of the week. This 5’11” setter and right side led the team in kills and kill percentage on the weekend to win the Virden tournament. The previous week at the Neelin Dig tournament she led her team to the finals and was named to the tournament all-star team. She is also one of the Clippers leading blockers. Coach Ted Rea states, “With key players out of the line-up, Savannah took her game to the next level in the last two matches played enroute to the Clippers third tournament victory of the season. Savannah provides the Clippers not only with great setting but also a lethal attack from the right side”. This grade 12 student maintains an average of 70%, while also competing in fastball.
