Manitoba's Credit Unions Scholar Athlete

Tanissa Martindale is the co-chair of the Grad Committee, member of the student council, athletic council, and helps with the yearbook.  Tanissa was co-captain of both the volleyball and basketball teams and as well she ran cross-country, competed in indoor track & field, played soccer and runs track & field.  She has a 92% average and was selected as a member of the provincial basketball graduating all-star team and was a recipient of the "Player's Choice" award selected by participating athletes in the basketball provincials.  Tanissa is also a member of the MHSAA Champions Youth Mentoring Program and attended the Asia Pacific Youth Conference.  Tanissa states, "Continuing in high school sports has taught me more than you can read about in any book, learn from your parents, or see on TV….every practice and every game requires mental toughness, leadership, and teamwork……there is no greater challenge than managing your time and making decisions that will benefit your athletics".
