Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Reid Gillis of the Glenboro Panthers basketball team.

This 5’3” point guard helped the Panthers capture their home tournament this past weekend, where he had 13 rebounds in the tournament final. Gillis averages 6 points and 9 assists per game. Coach Ryan Diehl states, “Reid is the type of player that makes everyone else on the court better. I don't know if I have ever coached a player with more heart than Reid. He gives 100% every time he steps on the floor”.

This Grade 11 student maintains a 90% average, while also participating in volleyball, hockey and cross country.
