Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Urban Athlete of the Week is Sandeep Brar of the St. John’s Ravenscourt Eagles basketball team.

This 6’0” guard helped the Eagles qualify for the AAA Provincial Basketball Championships by leading them to the Championship of the South Central Athletic Conference.   During the year he was also selected as a tournament all-star at the Miles Macdonell and Canadian Accredited Independent Schools Championship.  Coach Jeremy Martin states, “Sandeep's success comes from a combination of his talent, great attitude as a leader and work-effort. He is a pleasure to coach, definitely every coach's dream to have on their team.”

This grade 12 student maintains an 85% academic average.
