Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Mallory Osbak of the Teulon Saints basketball team.

This 5’2” point guard help the Saints become the Provincial “AA” Girls Basketball Champions.  For the season she averaged 9.2 points, 4.2 steals, and 7.5 assists per game, while picking up player of the game recognition at the Regina and Vincent Massey tournaments.  Coach Jason Darragh states, “Mallory has developed into a very good point guard over the last 4 years. Mallory took on the role of a traditional point guard and did an excellent job of always finding an open teammate. She is one the most skilled dribbler I have ever coached. She has the 'wow' factor when it comes to dribbling and would pull something out of her bag of tricks that would leave you wondering how she did that. Mallory was very instrumental in the success that the TCI Saints had this season.”

This Grade 12 student maintains a 76% average, while also participating in volleyball, badminton, cross country, and Track & Field.
