Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Rural High School Athletes of the Week are Jake Ledochowski & Kyra Wiebe of the Teulon Saints badminton team.

The 5’11 Ledochowski and 5’9” Wiebe, won the Provincial High School Mixed Doubles Badminton Championships.  Their gold medal effort also helped the Saints claim the Provincial Team Aggregate title.   Coach Rod Ledochowski states, “These 2 played their best badminton in the biggest tournament of the year which isn’t always easy to do. It was neat to watch them get on a role and run with it.”

In Grade 10, Jake maintains a 95% average while Kyra maintains an 85% average.   Kyra also participates in volleyball, basketball, and track, while Jake also participates in cross country, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and track.
