Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Amanda McCullough of the Carman Cougars Fastpitch team.

This 5’7” pitcher has two wins in two league games, and is riding a 14 inning shutout streak, while allowing only 3 hits and striking out 15 batters.  Coach Garth Shindle states, “Amanda works hard year-round on her pitching and has developed into a strong competitor. She has a positive outlook on sport and enjoys her teammates a great deal. Her strengths are her work ethic and her willingness to contribute to the team in any way she is asked. These are key leadership attributes.”

This grade 12 student maintains an 85% average, while also participating in volleyball.
