Brian served as Football coach at Churchill High School for 21 years before moving on to the U of M Bisons. He began coaching and teaching at Churchill in 1975, right after graduation from U of M where he played as a member of the Bisons. His Bulldogs teams won three WHSFL championships in 1981, 1983 and 1992, and were finalists in 1982 and 1995. After moving to the Bisons, Dobie’s teams captured a Vanier Cup title (2007). This year, he took the Bisons to the national semi final. Many of his players have gone on to coach in the high school and university ranks, and several former Bulldogs are on his current Bison staff. Coach Dobie is the ultimate motivator and continues to support Manitoba football at all levels.  Brian was awarded the Manitoba Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association “Good Guy” award in January 2015.
