Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Urban Athlete of the Week is Gage Foster of the Portage Trojans Track team.

This 6’ sprinter won the JV boys 200m event at the Milk Provincial Track & Field Championships in a time of 23.48 sec, while also placing 4th in the 100m, 8th in discus and anchoring the 4x100m to a 5th place finish.  Coach Darin Arnold states, “Gage is an exceptional athlete that excels at any sport he participates in.  He always has a positive attitude and will always leave everything he has on the field.  Gage has embraced his role as the leader of all the teams he plays for and will always be there for his teammates.”

This grade 10 student maintains an 85% average while also participating in basketball, football, and badminton.
