Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Urban Athlete of the Week is Eugene Chubb of the Southeast Mikisew cross country team.

So far this year he has placed first in both Zone 12 Cross Country races at Crescent Park and Labarriere Park. He also placed 2nd overall in the Varsity Boys category at the Milk Cross Country Challenge Race.  Coach Mallory Wray states, “Eugene has natural talent and an outstanding work ethic when it comes to his academics and athletics. He is a true role model at our school by demonstrating his dedication and determination through sport and in the classroom.” 

This grade 11 student maintains a 97% average, while also participating in volleyball, badminton, track, soccer, and basketball.
