Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Urban Athlete of the Week is Emma Parker of the St. Norbert Celtics basketball team.

Emma, a guard for the Celtics, led her team to a second place finish at their home tournament.  She recorded 32 points, 17 steals, and 12 rebounds over the weekend and was named player of the game in the Celtics victory over Sanford.  Coach Raffaele Borelli states, “We just had our first few games last weekend and despite only two practices, managed to finish second.  Emma was our most consistent player leading us in scoring and controlling the court with her vision and leadership”. 

In grade 11, she maintains a 93% academic average, while also participating in soccer, badminton, volleyball, and golf.
