Payworks Coach of the Month

Greg Reid and Delvyn Cote of Roseau Valley school in Dominion City, have been named as PAYWORKS February rural Coaches of the Month.  

They have been coaching the Raiders basketball team for 6 years and basically started from scratch. They have built an inclusive environment that has attracted a variety of student athletes.  They have built up their knowledge of coaching through clinics, but have also formed the program around the school needs.  They go the extra mile, which includes picking up kids for 7 am practices and making sure everyone has a place on the team.  They have committed to the JV boys and taken an extra night or two a week to get them in Zone 4 competition on that level.  Having an 8-4 record with 14 players who work at their skills daily is a true victory.
