Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Rural High School Athletes of the Week are Kaylee Dixon & Danielle Vermette of the St. Jean Baptiste Saints badminton.

This girl doubles team have had an exceptional badminton season, qualifying for the Provincial Badminton Championships this weekend.  They placed first in the St. Jean Baptiste, Garden Valley, Maples and two Carman tournaments, while also finishing second at Louis Riel. Coach Sheldon Bouchard states, “Both girls are extremely dedicated athletes who have worked hard to hone their badminton skills. Their communication on court and ability to move together as a team has been a big part of their success. Their positive attitude and hunger to learn makes them a joy to coach”.

These grade 11 student, also participating in volleyball.
