Bill spent sixteen (16) years (1968-1984) at St. John’s High School where he coached the Basketball and Cross Country Running Teams.  His Tigers captured the Provincial title in 1979 with a victory over Fort Richmond.  Bill spent countless hours promoting and administering basketball specifically, and school sport in general.  He was a co-founder of the W.I.T. Basketball Tournament in 1976 and, President of Basketball Manitoba.  He was the National Basketball Commissioner with the Canadian School Sport Federation, and has authored two books on coaching basketball. Bill was president of the MHSAA from 1987-1989.  He is presently a member of the Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame (2005) and the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame (2013).  He was Head coach at the University of Winnipeg for 16 years (1984-2000) and, Athletic Director for 8 years (2001-2009). He is currently Executive Director of MCAC.
