Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Urban Athlete of the Week is Kelsey Jordan of the Vincent Massey Vikings volleyball team.

This 6’0” setter captain of the Vikings, led her team to a 3rd place finish at the Viking Classic being edged out in the semi-finals with their only match loss by the eventual champions. Over the weekend she had 12 aces, 18 kills and 8 blocks. Coach Michael DeGroot states, “Kelsey embodies the characteristics of a solid leader. Her energy is matched by very few. She has an incredible drive to play at the next level! This determination is contagious across the team and works well to raise the level of every team mate's efforts.”

In grade 12, she maintains a 90% academic average, while also participating in basketball, fastpitch and track & field.
