Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Jessica Edel of the Morris Mavericks volleyball team.

This 5’10” setter led her team to a first place finish in the West Kildonan tournament and a second place finish at the Killarney tournament. Coach Lauren Edel states, “Jessica is a dedicated athlete who works hard to be strong in all aspects of the game. Her ability to hit, block, pass and set makes Jess a versatile player we can count on. She is a great leader on and off the court.”

This grade 12 student maintains a 91% academic average, while also competing in basketball, soccer, and track & field.
