The Tire Recycle Urban Athlete of the Week is Kyle Lang of the Dakota Lancers hockey team.

This 5’10” centre helped the Lancers to a 3-0 record this past week, with 11 points in that stretch. Currently he is leading the WHSHL in points with 17 and goals with 10. He has led the Lancers to a 7-0 start to the season and the championship of the Morris tournament. He is also a team leading +14. Coach Ray Agostino states, “Kyle is a tremendously gifted hockey player who also has great vision away from the play. He plays hard at both ends of the rink and his great defense leads to his many offensive chances. Kyle is a great skater which helps with all areas of his game. He is a quiet leader on the team that leads by example both at practice and in games.”

In grade 11, he maintains an 86% academic average.
