The Tire Recycle Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Brittany Bachmier of the St. Pauls Barons volleyball team in Elie.

This 5’5” libero’s standout defensive play has been a crucial factor in the Barons tournament victories in Carman and Rosenort, along with a second place finish in the St. Jean Baptiste tournament.  Coach Craig Baron states, “Brittany’s intensity and work-ethic on the volleyball court are second-to-none. She is a fearless player who plays an aggressive game and it rubs off on her teammates. Her no-quit approach and never-say-die attitude have inspired her teammates and pushed us through some difficult matches. Brittany's hustle is unmatched and she consistently makes game-saving plays from the libero position. She is without question the backbone of our team and is critical to our team's success.”

This grade 12 student maintains an 80% academic average, while also competing in badminton, and track & field.
