Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Urban Athlete of the Week is Kiera Shwaluk of the Portage Saints Hockey team.

This 5’6”defenseman currently has 22 points (7G, 15A) in 18 games this season. Which has her 13th in points and 5th in assists in the WWHSHL Free Press Division.  Coach Jo-Anne Clark-Gillespie states, “Kiera is a true leader on and off the ice. Amazing work ethic during practices. Very committed to the hockey program while being a multi-sport athlete.”

In grade 11, she maintains a 90% academic average, while also participating in volleyball and fastpitch.
