Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Urban Athlete of the Week is Emerson Martin of the Dakota Lancers basketball team. 

This 6’1”forward was an all-star at the University of Manitoba & Pembina Trails Tournament and Oak Park Tournament.  On the season she is averaging 20 Points, 9 rebounds, 4 Assists, 4 blocks per game. Coach Eric Sung states, “Emerson is an outstanding student athlete that displays leadership on and off the court. She always shows a desire to get better with every opportunity that comes her way. Emerson is a true competitor and will do anything that will help the Dakota Lancers be successful.”

In grade 11, she maintains an 87% academic average, while also participating in volleyball
