Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Tire Recycle Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Luke Van Damme of the Pilot Mound Pilots track & field team.

This 5’11” hurdler won the gold medal in the varsity boys hurdles in 14.42 sec this past weekend at the Milk Provincial Track & Field Championship. He also competed in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m races. Coach Art Friesen states, "Luke is an extremely dedicated and motivated athlete and thrives to excel every time he touches the track. It is amazing to watch him run and compete." 

In grade 12 he maintains a 95% average, while also participating in baseball, volleyball, basketball, and curling.
