Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Powerland Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Ashleigh Pastoor of the Niverville Panthers soccer team.

This 5’6” midfielder, has led the Panthers to a 6 win and 2 loss record so far this soccer season. The team's clutch player, Ashleigh has scored 5 goals this season including 2 game winners and a hat trick. Coach Gerald Negrave states, “Ashleigh is the full package when it comes to athletics. She is strong, fast, skilled and fiercely competitive. In a recent game she was bumped hard from behind by the opposition's goal keeper. Ashleigh turned around and scored 3 goals! She's the person you want with the ball when the game is on the line.

In grade 12, she maintains a 92% academic average, while also participating in track & field.
