Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Rural High School Athlete of the week is Zaine McConnell of the Glenboro/Carberry/Baldur Wildcats hockey team.

Over the past weekend he recorded 2 hat tricks, in wins over the Vincent Massey Vikings and Swan Valley Tigers.  He currently leads his team in points with 32, scoring 15 goals and adding 17 assists. Carberry Principal Bruce McCallum states, "Zaine serves as team captain and is an excellent example of what a good teammate is."  

He maintains an academic average of 84% and also plays volleyball and baseball at Carberry Collegiate.
