Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Kain Shearer of the Killarney/Wawanesa Raiders hockey team.

This defensemen for the Raiders, put up 6 points in two games in the team's Westman High School Hockey League play-off series against Neepawa. Wawanesa Athletic Director Michael Reykdal States, "Kain plays top line minutes as a defensemen and had 11 points in the regular season.  He has really hit his stride in the play-offs."

In grade 11 he also participates in basketball.
