Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Serenity Poirier of the Lac Du Bonnet Chargers badminton team.

This JV girls singles player is currently undefeated in JV singles this year, not having lost a set. She finished first in singles at the Zone 13 JV North Championships, the Zone 13 JV Championships and the Gimli JV Tournament. is a very dedicated badminton player. She works hard in practice to improve all areas of her game. Coach Paul Poirier states, "Serenity is a very sportsmanlike player and always encourages everyone.  She is a very good student that works hard and likes to excel." 

Serenity is a Principal's Honour Roll student maintaining a 90% average, while also participating in volleyball, basketball and track & field.
