Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Urban High School Athlete of the Week is Mabel Currie of the St. Boniface Centurions badminton team.

This girl singles player won the Zone 12 girl singles badminton championships, advancing to the Provincial Championships in Thompson. Coach Brad Scott states, "She always shows up ready to work hard at every practice and is a great role model for all of her teammates. She never quits on any point and always displays great sportsmanship".

In grade 12 she maintains a 95% academic average, while also participating in basketball, volleyball, track & field, and soccer.
