Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Rural High School Athletes of the Week are Emma Boulet and Paisley Poirier of the Lac Du Bonnet Chargers badminton team.

This girls doubles team won the first ever MHSAA Junior Varsity Girls Doubles Provincial Championship Gold Medal. They were instrumental in leading the Chargers to the team aggregate title winning the JV A/AA banner in convincing style with a total of 49 points. They also finished first in the Zone 13 North Divisional Championship and the Zone 13 Championships. Coach Paul Poirier states, "Emma and Paisley finished the season undefeated not having lost a set. As student's both are hard working, dedicated, and work to their potential in all aspects of academics".

Both girls are on the Principal's Honour Role, averaging over 90% in all their courses.
