Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Parker Apetagon of the Helen Betty Osborne Huskies badminton team. 

This boys singles player captured the Zone 11 JV Badminton Championships advancing him to the Provincial Championships in Winkler.  He completed the round robin portion of the championship with a 6-1 record, before ending the championship with an impressive 8th place finish.  Coach Melissa Ferrar states, "Parker is an extremely gifted athlete who excels especially in volleyball and badminton. Parker spends 6 hours a week on the court training and would spend every hour there if he could. His dedication to being an elite athlete is inspiring. We look forward to seeing what else Parker brings to the court next season". 

This extremely hard working student also participates in volleyball, baseball, basketball and track & field.
