Payworks Coach of the Month

Both Kathleen Muirhead and Cody Pollon have coached the Minnedosa/Rivers rugby teams to three consecutive provincial titles in women's rugby, including three league titles during that time. The team has only lost one game in the past three seasons and was dominant in the provincial finals a weeks ago (only allowing 5 points over 2 games in the semis/finals).

Cody and Kat have also been a part of initiating the Rivers Rugby 7's program in the past few years, which has seen similar success to the 15's program run out of Minnedosa. Both coaches have provided a great athletic opportunity to many girls from our schools who may not have competed in any other athletic events, most of which have gone on to compete provincially with Rugby Manitoba or the Canadian Junior ID program.

Both coaches understand the importance of developing a strong team culture every year and have a strong leadership development philosophy.
