Mark Diboll of Portage Collegiate was instrumental in the development of the track & field program at R.D. Parker Collegiate in Thompson. He has three Provincial titles while coaching track in addition to 14 Zone Championships. He has fundraised and organized 4-5 coaches to take approximately 40 athletes to train in Florida on several occasions and to expand the weight room at Portage Collegiate. He organized and coached volleyball and hosted track & field Zone Championships in Thompson every second year. He helped bring back hockey and football programs to Portage Collegiate and was instrumental in convincing the school board there was enough room for a football field at PCI. He helped establish academies for volleyball, hockey, and basketball, as well as establishing connections for athletes to compete beyond high school. He has won several volunteer and coaching awards and has sat on the MHSAA Board of Directors.
