Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Justin Kroeker of the Edward Schreyer Barons cross country team in Beausejour. 

This distance runner recently placed second overall at the Provincial High School Cross Country Championships, leading his varsity boys team to second place as well, in the A-AAA team category. Coach Brian McKenty states, "Justin has medalled at Provincial Championships in Track and Cross-country.  He is a positive role model for other runners in our school and community. He has inspired a growth over the last few years of competitive running in our school at all levels."

This Grade 12 student aspires to attend university to study chemistry, while continuing to compete in track & field.
