Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Urban High School Athlete of the Week is Brook Duncalfe of the Sturgeon Heights Huskies volleyball team.

Duncalfe led her team to the McDonalds AAAA Junior Varsity Girls Provincial Championship. In the finals she finished the match with 5 aces, 14 kills, and passed 2.30 on way to earning MVP honours. Coach Ryan Vermette states, "As a reserved athlete Brooke is learning to become more aggressive to allow her talents to show even more in volleyball. Brooke has the knack to always save some of her best games when the most pressure is on."

This grade 9 athlete is seen as a role model in the classroom and around the school.
