Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Rural High School Athlete of the Week is Kayden Caumartin of the McCreary Mavericks volleyball team.

Kayden led the #3 ranked Mavericks to a 2nd place finish at the Beef and Barley tournament in Russell, and a 1st place finish at the Ste. Rose invitiational and Rivers tournament.  Coach Dan Macfarlane states, "As the team's captain and setter he is both a leader and the most consistent player on the floor, game in and game out. Kayden leads the team with multiple runs of serves, consistent setting, and strong defensive net play."

In grade 12, he maintains an academic average of 90%, while also participating in hockey.
