Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Kaden Bruchanski of the Springfield Sabres hockey team

The Sabres captain has had a great start to his season registering 7 goals and 10 points in 4 games as a defenseman. He had an outstanding week posting 5 goals and 6 points in his last two games and helped lead the Sabres to capture their homecoming tournament for the first time in school history.  Coach Severyn Wojcik states, "Kaden is a great leader that can take over a game at any time. He is counted on in all situations such as power play and penalty kill and has been an integral part of his team's 4-0 start to the season." Kaden also plays volleyball and is the starting right side.  He led his Sabres volleyball team to capture the Ste. Anne tournament. 

In grade 12 he maintains a 90% academic average, while also participating in basketball and badminton throughout th school year.
