Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Myx Miranda of the Fisher Branch Cougars volleyball team.

In the span of a week, Myx, the Cougars captain, led the team to victories over Fisher River in exhibition play, St. Laurent in the Zone 5 play in tournament and then his leadership and smart play helped push his 4th seed team to defeat Morweena and Fisher River on their way to being finalists in the Zone 5 Championship.  Coach Joel Matheson states, "As our team captain, Myx has been an great teacher to younger players, as well as leading the team by encouraging them on the court and as a role model in the school. He is an exceptional middle and has excelled as a passer and blocker this season."

In Grade 12, he maintains an 95% academic average.
