Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

Kennadie Chaudhary of the Glenlawn Lions Track & Field team is this week’s Home Run Sports Urban High School athlete of the week. At the SCAC track & field meet this past week she finished 1st in 6 events in the varsity girls category. She won the girls 800 m in a time of 2:43.32, the 1500 m in a time of 5:27.57, the 3000 m in a time of 12:04.79, the 80 m hurdles in a time of 14.72, the girls long jump with a distance of 4.48 m, and the girls high jump with a height of 1.41 m. Coach Eugene Pelland states, "Kennedy finished with 6 first place finishes at the SCAC track and field meet and combined for 61 points towards the Varsity SCAC Team Championship. Truly amazing, an outstanding accomplishment at any level". This grade 11 student has an 91% academic average, while also participating in volleyball, basketball & Badminton.
