Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is April Dahlman of the Major Pratt Trojans volleyball team.

As the team Captain, April showed exemplary leadership skills throughout the season.  She really stepped up at the regional qualifier helping the team capture a spot in the Boston Pizza "AA" Girls Volleyball Championship where they went on to captured the gold medal. Coach Tanya Thompson states, "April is a talented middle who dominates at the net both offensively and defensively. She is an awesome leader with a positive attitude. She works closely with me to help with team communication, and she leads the team in their dynamics and mental focus prior to games."

In grade 12 she maintains an 88% academic average.
