Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Ashton Henry of the Lord Selkirk Royals hockey team. 

This past week Ashton had a dominant week on the ice as he led the Royals to two victories contributing 5 goals and 1 assist, which included a 4 goal outburst in the first period of their win over Steinbach.  So far this season he has 11 goals and 11 assists in 22 games, including 3 powerplay and 1 short handed goal.  Coach Michael Buffie states, "Ashton is the team captain and is leading the Royals to a resurgent second half of the season."

This grade 12 student maintains a 75% academic average.
