Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Darian Giasson of the Grandview Spartans basketball team.  

The Spartan's Co-captain led the team to two victories this past week averaging 34 points per game.  For the season, he is averaging 33.2 points, 8 assists, and 8 rebounds per game.  He has led the team to a 6-4 record so far this season.  Coach Marc Giasson states, "He is a player that puts in, on average, 1.5 hours a day, outside of practice and game time, in the gym working on his shooting, dribbling, and physical conditioning."

In grade 11, Darian maintain an 80% academic average.
